Dunga Hopes For Ronaldinho Professionalism

Dunga Hopes For Ronaldinho Professionalism

The Brazilian football governing body felt moved to make a pronouncement after recent stories of the Barcelona star's controversial injury woes.

These news stories prompted rumours in Brazil that the national team boss, Dunga, is deeply annoyed by the forward's attitude, and has effectively ordered the ex-PSG man to shape up or ship out.

Allegedly the 28-year-old is now completely out of contention for a spot in his country's squad for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Nonetheless, the Seleção chiefs issued a statement saying that Dunga was merely concerned that 'Dinho carry on his regular training and return to play normally, just as he does with all players.

They also pointed out that Dunga has repeatedly called 'Dinho up almsot every time that he's been available, and any time that he hasn't - such as in the two recent friendly matches - it's been down to injury or fitness concerns.

Above all, the CBF tried to emphasise that they felt it not their place to "interfere in the life of Ronaldinho or any other player."
